Sucker Gigging in Missouri
A classic Ozark night-fishing experience for all ages and skill levels
What Is Sucker Gigging?
Sucker gigging is a long-standing Ozark Mountain tradition that offers a fun, hands-on night fishing experience the whole family can enjoy. Using a gig pole—sometimes reaching up to 20 feet long—you’ll target sucker fish and carp from a boat under powerful LED lights that illuminate the clear, shallow winter waters.
Very little experience is required. If you can hold a gig pole, you can gig fish. Our guides teach proper technique, positioning, and safety before putting you on fish, making this an excellent option for first-timers and experienced anglers alike.
